Located in the Pacific Ocean about 1500 kilometers east of Australia, Aotearoa, the land of the long white cloud, is a very diverse and extraordinary piece of land. The grass seems to be greener than elsewhere, the sheep more numerous than anything else and the beaches much prettier than those you have visited before. Having lived in New Zealand for almost two years, I had the chance to return to the most beautiful country in the world in 2010. Here are some of my favorite shots of a two-week North Island tour.
You might have been wondering why my last post is 8 days old. Well, I didn´t have time to write anything because we set out to renovate our old and rather ugly office. From now on we will be working in the two most beautiful offices in the world. Painting and decoration was up to me, so guess what color we went for….right… Go GREEN =) Here are the steps from “ugly as” to “as nice as it gets” in a week.
Bali, an Indonesian island situated between Java and Lombok, is less than 150 km long and only 50 km wide. Nevertheless, it offers a plethora of different landscapes ranging from long, white beaches to rice terraces and volcanoes. I experienced Balinese people to be friendly and open-minded when backpacking their island. More than 90% of them are Hindus and immolate neatly-made boxes filled with flowers every day before they eat in order to praise their gods. Here are some of my favorite pictures. Enjoy Bali =)
Everybody takes pictures. Some take thousands, others take very few. Some take pictures using their smartphone, others use high end equipment worth thousands of dollars. Whatever gadget you use, photographs can be virtually anything: astonishing, fascinating, breathtaking, amazing, shocking, horrible, disgusting, funny, …you name it. Since I love taking pictures, I make sure to take my camera (a rather cheap one by the way) wherever possible, especially when I travel. Here are some of my favorite photographs. I am nowhere near being a photographer, but I think it´s worth taking a look. See for yourselves…
