With summer approaching fast you might think about where to spend your holidays this year. In case you don´t like hotels, can´t afford one or would like to connect with locals while traveling, Airbnb is THE online tool for you.
Airbnb is a online tool that offers you to rent from 19,732 real people in 192 cities all over the world. Airbnb not only allows travelers to find places to stay but also enables people to offer their spare flat, room or bed for rent. You can basically rent anything ranging from a place to sleep in a shared room, a private room in a flat or an apartment to a luxurious villa anywhere in the world.
Here is how it works: if you´ve got a spare room, flat or house you would like to offer, you sign up at the Airbnb website for free and upload pictures and a description of the place you are offering for rent. If you are a traveler looking for a place to stay, you go to the Airbnb website, enter the name of the town or city and country you would like to go to together with the intended dates of arrival and check out as well as the number of guests. Then you can browse through the list of ads matching your request and check out the pictures, detailed descriptions and reviews of those who have already stayed there. Once you´ve decided on a place and are happy with the conditions stated (minimum price, cleaning fee, equipment etc.), you just book. Watch out as the Airbnb service fee is not included in the subtotal stated, but listed below the “Book it” button. In case of any enquiry, you can contact your host-to-be directly. Airbnb will hold onto your money until 24 hours after your check in. Besides, both guests and hosts can write reviews after the stay. I haven´t tried it myself, yet, but I definitely will give it a go. Are you ready for a unique travel experience? Then click here to check out Airbnb.
