Blood Brother – a must-see movie

I stumbled upon this both touching and impressive trailer of “Blood Brother”. This must-see documentary of a disenchanted young American drifting through India will be released in fall 2012.

Blood Brother” tells the story of a group of children infected with HIV, who were left on the doorstep of a slum orphanage. Rocky Braat would like to rescue them all, but soon finds out that he can´t cure any of them. Back in the States, he used to earn lots of money, but he felt the need to make his life count, to make an impact on other people´s lives. Rocky moves to India, where he soon learns that being close to people makes you vulnerable. Sometimes he is close to dispair. It´s a tough life, but he needs the children as much as they need him. In the end, love is the only thing that makes life worth living.

Make Sure You Know “Blood Brother”

I am sure that, if the documentary is only half as touching as its trailer, it will open people´s hearts and might encourage them to think about life´s purpose.

I often wonder what would it look like if all people resisted the temptation to focus on themselves and truly poured themselves out for the benefit of others.” -Rocky Braat

To learn more about Rocky and the children visit his website or blog, since both illustrate even further why this story needs to be told.
